A Glimpse at Katrania Lowers’ New Business Venture – MoneyKats
Our financial planner, Katrania Lowers, has been featured in New Model Adviser's 35 Under 35 series, sitting down with Victoria Pavlova ahead of the launch of her new financial education platform, MoneyKats.
Some of you may have heard the name floating around already, and keen followers may even recognise it from Instagram or LinkedIn, where Kat has been steadily building the MoneyKats brand since last Autumn. Now, after plenty of hard work behind the scenes, its launch is almost here. Kat joined NMA to share the latest updates on MoneyKats, the inspiration behind the platform, and what people can expect.
Co-founded by Colmore Partners’ Managing Director, Richard Meek, and Kat in late 2025, MoneyKats was created to make financial education more accessible through free, digestible resources. The platform will feature courses tailored to different stages of life, alongside engaging video content designed to help people build confidence in managing their finances.
Speaking to Pavlova, Kat explained how what started as educational content on social media has grown into a much bigger vision: creating a platform that helps people make informed financial decisions, regardless of where they are in life.
Kat shares her journey into financial advice, her passion for financial education, and why empowering people with knowledge feels like such an important part of the work she does.
“It’s insane that we’re not taught anything about it. I’ve been lucky: because of the industry I’m in and the career I chose, I’ve learned about money – the stock market, asset allocation, how to invest, how to plan for the future.
From my perspective, I have that knowledge, and it’s only right that I share it with the people who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it.”
