Colmore Chats – The Podcast that Features You!

26 March 2026

As we increase our podcast output, we’re excited to launch the first edition of Colmore Chats. For those of you who’d rather skip the technical jargon and the heavier side of financial discussions, this one’s for you.

Colmore Chats will run bi-monthly, with each episode featuring a new guest from outside the world of financial planning in conversation with one of our planners. It’s a more light-hearted take, still exploring financial themes, but bringing fresh perspectives that we hope will resonate with you.

With that said, we’re kicking things off with my longest-standing client, Steve! He’s played a role in shaping how we do business at Colmore Partners, and over the years his influence has been far greater than he might think. You may remember Steve from my previous articles and presentations, indeed many of my clients tell me they are trying to “be more like Steve.”

Earlier this month, as he celebrated his 75th birthday, Steve also marked 25 years of consistently travelling the world – travelling, not holidaying. As he puts it, there’s a clear distinction, starting with the idea that you don’t need 30 kilos of luggage for every trip.

Of course there’s more to it, and as Steve and I discuss, there’s also more to life than just work. While earning and saving are important, making time to enjoy life and fulfil our personal ambitions should matter just as much, if not more.

Without sharing too much about what the podcast covers, this really was a lot of fun to record, and I hope you enjoy listening to or watching it.

I’m confident you’ll find Steve’s storytelling both interesting and entertaining. As always, if you have any requests for what you’d like covered next, we’re open to any ideas.
