Colmore Partners is Growing!

Our latest appointments include financial planners Michael Hulse and Aidan Bennett, who joined us last month. Michael brings nearly 25 years of financial services experience to our Birmingham office, while Aidan has spent nine years in the sector and will help us build our presence across Manchester and the North of England. Together, they’re bringing valuable expertise and a fresh energy to the team. They join Imran Kalam, who came on board earlier this year and is already strengthening our connections across Birmingham and the wider Midlands. In just a few months, he has built strong relationships with professionals throughout the region and helped raise our profile in the local business community, making a positive impact from the outset.

We have also grown our paraplanning team with the appointment of Oliver Giles, and at just 21, Oliver has already achieved such an impressive amount. He began his financial services career through an apprenticeship and was named Financial Services Administrator Apprentice of the Year at the CII and PFS Apprenticeship Awards in 2025. He has since progressed into paraplanning and, only three months into his time with us, is already a seriously valued member of the team.

We are proud that these appointments are bringing together people at different stages of their careers, from rising talent to established planners with decades of experience. That balance matters to us because it creates opportunities to share knowledge, develop together and keep raising the standard of advice we provide. As the team grows, our working environment is evolving with it. We have acquired additional space within our existing Colmore Row location, giving us greater capacity for client meetings, collaboration and future recruitment. It’s about so much more than simply adding more desks – the expansion will give our people more room to work together and relax, while helping us continue to deliver the personal service our clients value.

This investment comes at a time when demand for financial advice remains strong, driven by ongoing economic uncertainty and a growing need for reassurance, careful planning and long-term guidance. As consolidation continues across the financial planning sector, our focus remains on building an independent and sustainable business, supporting our people and strengthening our relationships within the communities we serve.
