Introducing Aidan Bennett!

He began his career in financial planning in 2017, joining a firm in an administrative role before progressing into paraplanning, which he says gave him a strong technical grounding in the work behind good financial advice.

Growing up, Aidan aspired to be an accountant, knowing he was strong with maths and numbers. However, once he stepped into financial services, he knew he had found his calling. The blend of numerical and analytical work with the opportunity to connect, listen and help people proved the perfect fit for Aidan, and we feel very lucky to have him in our core financial planning team. He knows technical knowledge and attention to detail are essential, but listening and explaining complex subjects clearly are just as important, if not more so. Every client’s circumstances and priorities are different, so asking the right questions, understanding what matters to them and explaining financial decisions clearly are vital.

Aidan recognises that money can be an anxiety inducing subject, so he takes great pride in helping clients turn something complex or overwhelming into a clear, practical plan. As he says, “If I can alleviate a client’s concerns and help them feel comfortable and confident making informed choices about their financial life and wider decisions, that is tremendously rewarding.”

Whether clients are planning for retirement, looking after their family or making the most of the wealth they have built, he is motivated by long-term relationships and the tangible difference that real life-led financial planning can make both immediately and over time.

Outside work, he prioritises travelling with his partner, Tilly, experiencing new cultures and eating good food – Aidan calls himself a massive foodie and enjoys finding a great place to eat as much as planning the trip itself. Staying true to form, he also loves a good walk, provided there’s a hearty pub lunch at the end. He is a big live music fan too, listening to everything from The XX to Pink Floyd and The Cure – and he is one of the very lucky few to have secured Glastonbury tickets this year!
