Introducing Dan

His work as a paraplanner began for a St. James’s Place partnership, before gaining all his qualifications and beginning work at Punter Southall – where he met our managing director, Richard!

Dan’s now been in the industry for 22 years, and with Colmore Partners for 5 of them. In his role, Dan enjoys helping everyone, and seeing people develop – he acknowledges that sometimes his job can be a challenge, however challenging days often lead to the most interesting, engaging times in his work.

As a paraplanner, it’s his eye for detail, and good technical knowledge that he feels are crucial to the role. In his compliance managerial work, he values his ability to balance the commercial aspects of work whilst remaining compliant, and his positioning in the office as someone who is open and available to the wider team for people to discuss anything with him.

At home, Dan ensures he has time to enjoy the things he loves outside of work. Painting toy soldiers and playing war games, he has a keen interest in historical wars -frequently visiting the tank museum in Bovington. Other hobbies are visiting the zoo, as someone who loves animals – cats, pandas, sloths, capybaras and koalas amongst his favourites. In fact, he has three cats of his own named Pickle, Monty and Willow amongst his family, with his wife Katie and daughter Phoebe.
