Introducing Kelly

For the last 18 months she’s been shadowing our managing director, Richard Meek, whilst fulfilling her role as a senior paraplanner – as of this month, Kelly is now an associate planner in the Colmore team.

Graduating as a Law student, Kelly made her transition into the financial services as a wealth management associate for the Royal Bank of Canada, where she worked for three years before making her return to Birmingham.

Kelly’s been with us since June 2024 and it’s her approach with people, and naturally hospitable personality that makes her a core asset to the team. Listening intently and understanding clients is key for Kelly, she values the importance of knowing individuals’ stories and backgrounds, tailoring her knowledge to suit clients’ needs.

Talking about your finances is rarely straightforward or easy, it can provoke difficult conversations and easily raise emotions. That’s why Kelly prides herself on her supportive nature and ability to put people at ease – “If I can help someone not worry, I think that’s a very good thing”.

Outside of work, Kelly values her time for cooking, travelling, gardening and spending quality time with family and friends. Her resolution for the year? To prioritise time with those closest to her. It’s people like Kelly who give Colmore the reputation we’re proud of – honest, genuine and attentive.
