Introducing Simon
Having joined the business in 2022, Simon plays several key roles at Colmore Partners. He’s a director, head of proposition, and a trusted adviser to our clients. After studying Sports Science at university, Simon took an alternative path and joined Prudential as a graduate. It was here that he began his career in finance, completing exams that set the foundation for his future.
He later moved to a local firm within Zurich’s network and then to Punter Southall, where he built his expertise in financial planning. Since starting his career in 1998, Simon has accumulated nearly three decades of industry experience, including 18 years as an adviser.
While Simon sees technical knowledge as fundamental to successful financial planning, he believes his real strength lies in working with people. His experience across a wide range of clients and circumstances has shaped him into a well-rounded, reliable adviser. Particularly confident in supporting clients with complex financial affairs, he places strong emphasis on communication and building lasting relationships, recognising that personal skills are what truly make the difference.
Simon views his role from two perspectives. In his client-facing work, he finds fulfilment in meeting people, understanding their needs, and guiding them through important decisions. Internally, he is driven by building our team and shaping Colmore Partners, from overseeing advice and investment, to training and mentoring the next generation of advisers.
Outside of work, Simon is a family man and father to two teenage sons. Just as he helps clients make time for what matters most, he ensures he does the same for himself, balancing his work with interests such as cooking, cycling and golf.
Simon brings a level of candour and honesty in his approach to advising, and a respectful, reliable attitude that is highly valued by both clients and colleagues at Colmore.
